I was at Maria Laach, near Bonn, Germany in April 2010 for a photonics seminar. There was a picturesque old Abbey near an old crater lake. I did't manage to take stunning pictures of the Abbey or the lake, but the woods surrounding the lake were splendid in the verdant spring colors.
